MOROCCO - MOHAMMED VI-ANNIVERSARY-REVOLUTION

Rabat - According to Asabah daily newspaper, the third version of the Benkirane government is likely to see many ministers leave the government.

A cabinet reshuffle was expected following the dismissal of former Sports and Youth Minister Mohammed Ouzzine in the wake of the Rabat Stadium fiasco.

A “royal disappointment and the poor performance” of several government ministers are believed to be the primary reasons behind the next cabinet reshuffle, Asabah reported in its April, 7th issue.

On March 25th, King Mohammed VI expressed his disappointment at the low profile of a project aimed at giving opportunities to street vendors in the country, saying "it is below expectations and does not live up to the required level."

The monarch called off his plans to inaugurate the project proposed by the Ministry of Interior in conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Digital Economy.

The reshuffle is expected to take place before that the King embarks on a new African tour that will take him to several Sub-Saharan countries.

The same source said that Lahbib Choubani, Minister of Relations with the Parliament and Civil Society and Soumia Benkhaldoun, the minister Delegate to the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training are among the ministers who are expected to leave Abdelilah Benkirane's cabinet.
