Rabat – Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, held fruitful discussions with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Cooperation Development of the Netherlands, Liesje Shreinemacher, in Rabat on Monday.
In comments made at the end of the pair’s meeting, Minister Shreinemacher said her visit aimed to reinforce the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Amsterdam and Rabat, with a particular focus on economic collaboration.

“Our visit to Morocco reflects the excellence of our relations of friendship and cooperation,” she declared, underlining the robust economic relations that currently exist between Morocco and the Netherlands. The top Dutch diplomat also emphasized the joint efforts being undertaken to establish a firm foundation for future partnerships between the two countries.
In a poignant gesture of solidarity, Minister Shreinemacher offered her condolences to Morocco for the earthquake that shook the North African nation on September 8. She also revealed that she was leading a delegation of Dutch businessmen specializing in water management and agriculture to assist in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the areas devastated by the earthquake.
