El Jadida- Moroccan “K-1”and “Kickboxing”World Champion, Badr Hari, is facing a four-year suspended prison sentence in the Netherlands on charges of assault and battery, according to Dutch media.
The Public Prosecutor has asked for a ten-year prison sentence on the charges brought against him by a Dutch millionaire for "savagely attacking him in a night-club."
Badr Hari on Wednesday appeared before the court for "attempted murder in addition to several acts of violence and a serious traffic offense."
Hari’s girl-friend, Estelle Cruyff, played a pivotal role in testifying on his behalf. Hari was accused of being one of several men who assaulted the travel industry entrepreneur Koen Everink and left him hospitalized with face and leg injuries.Hari denied all the charges against him and claimed to be innocent of each one.
Born in 1984 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Badr Hari began practicing kickboxing at the age of seven, under the guidance of former World Champion Mousid Akamrane. He is famous for having a devastating knockout power and being an emotional fighter.
