Casablanca- Twenty eight people were injured, three of which are in a critical condition, after a bus drove straight into a coffee shop at Roches Noires neighborhood in Casablanca, on Sunday morning.
Based on the initial investigations by local police authorities, the driver of a Medina Bus Company lost control of the vehicle, which connects Sidi Bernoussi neighborhood to the city center, when he reached the Aicha roundabout in Roches Noires.
An SUV had unexpectedly emerged in front of the Medina Bus, which startled the bus driver in to abruptly diverting from the road, and losing control of the vehicle which headed straight into a coffee shop, causing a tremendous mess.
Some of the clientele sitting outside the coffee shop allegedly did not have enough time to move out of the way of the bus. Three people among the 28 wounded reportedly suffered severe injuries from the crash.
According to the same source, the 28 eight casualties also included the bus driver and some of the bus passengers.
