Rabat- A Moroccan national living in Spain will be decorated on Friday by King Felipe VI with the Order of Civil Merit which recognizes "the civic virtue of officer in the service of the Nation, as well as extraordinary service by Spanish and foreign citizens for the benefit of Spain."
Abderrazak Aananou is among 38 other people who will receive the Order of Civil Merit (Orden del Mérito Civil) as the King Felipe VI celebrates his first year on the Spanish throne.
The Moroccan national will be decorated in recognition to his efforts in helping several foreigners integrate into the Spanish society.
"The driver, who has worked in a Mallorca-based laundry chain for over twenty years, is fully integrated into the host country," according to Spanish media.
Among the 38 decorated people is another foreigner who saved a person from a fire and a doctor for his efforts in the fight against the Ebola epidemic.
