Rabat - Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdulaziz is to visit Morocco soon at the invitation of King Mohammed VI, according to Saudi sources.
King Mohammed VI held, on Tuesday, a telephone call with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
During their conversation, King Mohammed VI offered his condolences and sympathy to the Saudi monarch, following the suicide bombing that claimed the lives of many worshipers at the Imam Ali mosque in the town of Al-Qadeeh, Qatif province.
King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz also offered condolences to the Moroccan monarch following the death of Lieutenant Yassine Bahti whose F-16 warplane crashed while on a mission for the Saudi-led coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen.
According to the same source, King Mohammed VI has invited King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud to visit Morocco. The Saudi monarch has reportedly accepted King Mohammed VI's invitation, and promised to visit the kingdom soon.
King Mohammed VI made a working and fraternal visit to Saudi Arabia earlier this month during which he discussed with King Salman issues of mutual interest between the two countries, including the latest developments in Yemen.
Morocco had joined a Saudi-led military campaign against the Shiite Houthi rebels in order to "defend legitimacy" in Yemen.
