Rabat - Two police officers have been dismissed from duty after they were caught on camera taking a bribe from a Spanish tourist in the southern city of Tantan on January 2nd.
The General Directorate of National Security had decided to suspend the two officers pending the results of an investigation. The officers were later sentenced to a month in prison and to pay a fine of two thousand Dirhams over bribery charges.
The Spanish tourist identified as Gustavo posted a video on YouTube, showing the two police officers asking him for money.
In the video, the police officers are seen being handed MAD 50 by the Spanish tourist who was on his way to the city of El Ayoun.
