Ramallah - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas applauded Morocco for its efforts in support of the Palestinian cause notably concerning the preservation of the character of the City of Al-Quds through the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency.
Speaking at a meeting with visiting Moroccan Delegate Minister in charge of Water Charafat Afailal, Abbas highlighted the significance of the visit which stands as a sign of solidarity and support for the Palestinian people.
Speaking on the same occasion, Afailal reiterated Morocco’s steady position in favour of the Palestinian rights and resistance against Israeli occupation.
She said that the Palestinian cause is considered as a national matter in Morocco.
Afilal is on a working visit to Palestine on January 27- 29 which a Memorandum of Understanding on water managemend will be signed between the two countries.
During her visit, Afailal, who is leading a delegation of public and private sector officials, will hold talks with Palestinian counterparts on the means to further boost cooperation in the field of water management.
