Rabat- Moroccan passport holders have visa-free access to over 55 countries in the world, new research study claims.
Moroccan passports were listed among the ten most powerful in the Arab world, allowing its holders to enter 55 countries either without a visa or visas on arrival, according to The Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index.
Morocco’s passport ranks 8th in the Arab world and 73rd worldwide in 2014, enabling Moroccan citizens to enter 55 countries without having to obtain visa, compared to only 51 countries in 2013.
Kuwait has the Arab World’s most useful passport, allowing its holders to enter 78 countries without visa, followed by the UAE (77), Qatar (75), Bahrain (69), Oman (66), Saudi Arabia (65) and Tunisia (62). Enabling its holders to enter 55 countries without visa, Mauritania ranks 9th, while the Egyptian passport is bottom of the list, allowing Egyptians enter only 48 countries without visa.
At the global level, Finland, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the US, each of whose citizens can access 174 countries visa-free, tie for first place.
