Rabat - The National judiciary police squad brought, on Tuesday, four French nationals, including two from Polish and Rwandan origins, before the public prosecutor of the Rabat appeal court for alleged involvement in terrorism-related affairs.
The suspects are sued for "forming a criminal gang to commit terrorist attacks within the framework of a collective plot to seriously undermine public order by intimidation, violence and terror", and "holding unauthorized meetings".
The accused will be brought before the examining magistrate in charge of terrorism affairs at the Salé appeal court's annex to question them as part of the preliminary interrogation.
Upon intelligence reports of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the National Squad of the Judicial Police (BNJP) services arrested on November 13, 2014 four French Islamists, including two of Polish and Rwandese origins, settled in the cities of Laayoune and Marrakesh on suspicion of links with terrorist organizations in some hotbeds of tension.
One of the suspects, who has dubious travels to Egypt and Yemen, attracted attention by his extremist speech, while another was suspiciously information on public facilities.
