Rabat- Morocco's decision to stick to postpone of the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) until mid-2015 or 2016 over fears of the Ebola disease could see the Kingdom facing sanctions from the governing body of African football (CAF) in the form of a suspension from future tournaments.
The refusal to host Afcon 2015 could lead to Morocco’s suspension from all the activities sponsored by CAF for four years.
Moroccan clubs could also be suspended from participating in the African Champions League and the CAF Cup.
In addition to suspension, CAF could impose heavy fines on the Moroccan football federation. If FIFA intervenes, Morocco could be deprived of hosting any future FIFA Club World Cup.
