Rabat- Issa Hayatou, President of the African Football Confederation, said that CAF's executive committee meeting in Algeria on Sunday will decide the fate of the 2015 Afcon after requests from planned hosts Morocco to postpone the tournament over fears of the Ebola epidemic.

Speaking to Algerian Television, the Cameroonian said that it is the meeting of CAF's executive committee that will come with an official decision of whether to postpone the competition to another date or seek new hosts if talks with Morocco collapse.

African football body has denied reports by Moroccan newspapers suggesting that a midweek meeting involving Hayatou and senior Moroccan officials has led to struck a deal to delay the tournament, according to AFP.

CAF has approached several countries in an attempt to secure a host for the most prestigious African competition if Morocco finally decides to back down. Algeria, Egypt, South Africa and Sudan all declined CAF's requests to host the 2015 Afcon.
