It is a reality of life, we are an unfaithful society, said Noel Biderman

By Abdellatif Oudra

Nador - Despite his being married, he slept with her over night every weekend.

It was Monday morning, and he woke up and got dressed in his blouse as if he were going to work. On his way back home, he kept fancying the delicious food his wife would make for him, longing for that smell of the perfume he had bought her recently,

“She always keeps the house tidy and clean, so I’ll bring her a flower today,” he thought.

So he did and picked up a blue and showy flower from the hotel garden where he spent the night. Finally he arrived home, put on cologne, and opened the door.

When he opened the door, the smile was wiped off his face when he found his wife passionately being hugged by a stranger. They didn’t notice his presence, so he remained stagnant, staring shocked and shaken, yet it was unbearable to him. He hurriedly went to the kitchen searching for a knife to stab both of them. For him, it was intolerable, unacceptable and offensive that his wife cheat on him. His plan was to eat out with her tonight, may be that scene would be called off.

“Why this? Why did the woman who lived with him for years do this?”

He thought but found no answer because the scene traumatized him; he wanted to deafen his ears in order to not hear them, but in vain.

Their voices were bullets in both his mind and heart. “One more,” said the wife the words aching him. Finally, he found the sharpest and longest knife that would kill both of them at once; he found the knife that would satisfy his anger and help him take his revenge on the unfaithful wife.

“Never will I forgive her. I will not let either of them live. They deserve death, and she deserves to be buried alive for cheating on her husband,” he thought. He sat down on a chair to think who to stab first, when abruptly his conscience whispered in his deafened ear: “No need to stab either him or her; you reap what you sow.”
