Casablanca- Supported by the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), the Moroccan Center for Civic Education (MCCE) and the Tunisian Social Development and Empowerment Center organized a regional workshop on public policy in Hammamet, Tunisia from June 5 to June 7, 2014.
The event sought to engage youth and civil society organizations (CSOs) from Morocco, Tunisia and Libya to discuss the best ways to address existing public policies proposed by their respective governments. The event provided them with the technical assistance necessary to enhance public policies in North Africa.
The event also provided a platform for the participants to present and display their community projects. Some of the showcased projects seek to improve political involvement and suggest solutions to various social plagues such as unemployment, school dropouts and violence. Other projects seek to foster entrepreneurial skills and encourage agricultural and educational projects.
Supported by UNDEF and implemented by the Moroccan Center for Civic Education, this regional workshop seeks to build and foster public policy analysis and advocacy capacity among youth and CSOs from Morocco, Tunisia and Libya.
